성신여대 산업디자인학과를 졸업하고 미국으로 건너가 로체스터 공과대학 (R.I.T) 대학원에서 컴퓨터 그래픽 디자인을 전공했다. 이스트만 코닥 (Eastman Kodak Company) 에 입사해 UX 디자인팀의 비주얼 인터랙션 디자이너로 디지털카메라 UI 디자인을 담당했다. 이후 뉴욕의 광고 에이전시인 R/GA로 옮겨 나이키아이디 (NIKEiD)팀 수석 디자이너로 나이키아이디 터치 스크린, 리테일 키오스크, 슈 빌더, NIKEiD.com 등 다양한 프로젝트를 진행했다. 2008년 6월 어도비 시스템즈 (Adobe Systems Inc.) 에 입사해 컨설팅 그룹에서 클라이언트를 대상으로 사용자 환경(User experience) 을 구축하는 역할을 하다가 현재는 XDPD(XD Product Design) 그룹에서 UX Design Lead 로써 클라우딩 서비스를 기반으로 하는 어도비 아크로뱃 서비스(Acrobat Services)와 Acrobat Reader Touch의 전반적인 UX 디자인을 책임지고 있다. 한편 T.A.K 스튜디오라는 이름으로 지속 가능한 디자인에 관한 다양한 작업을 선보이고 있다.
Shinhyun Kang is an award-winning user-experience designer and co-founder of T.A.K. Studio. She has been on the concept project team with Jung Geun Tak at T.A.K. Studio since 2006. T.A.K. Studio’s sustainable concepts have won numerous awards and have been reviewed in Innovation, PC Magazine, Metropolis Magazine, and ID Magazine. Ms. Kang has extensive experience in a wide range of design fields, including software/product user interface, web, motion graphics, product design, and architecture. She has successfully worked on world-class client projects, such as Nike, Eastman Kodak, FedEx, and Morgan Stanley. She is currently working as a senior user experience design lead for Adobe Systems, Inc., and leading the interaction and visual design efforts for Adobe Reader Touch projects.
